Recovering from a Mal-ware attack
Posted by: JCJordan on Monday, August 02, 2010 (14:53:02) (5 Reads)
After going through all the code for this and all my other sites, I have finally gotten rid of the "Malware" (as Google described it) that had infected all my sites. There is nothing to be worried about as far as your computer getting infected or anything like that. This attack started late on July 31, 2010 as far as I can tell is over now.
At this time, I am still unsure as who broke security on my server, but the security team at my host is looking over it.
Thanks, Jordan Computer Solutions

Financing is now available.
Posted by: JCJordan on Friday, July 23, 2010 (16:46:00) (10 Reads)
We will be able to do short term financing for some purchases in the very near future. We are hammering out the details now, but we should be able to help you get the computer you want and be able to make payments instead of having to have money up front. Once we have figured out what the terms of our in-house financing will be, we will add the agreement to the site.

New Additions to the site
Posted by: JCJordan on Saturday, May 08, 2010 (17:21:22) (7 Reads)
I will be adding forms for having your computer repaired to the website very soon. These forms will make it more efficient for getting your computer fixed and back to you. Some of the information that will be on the form are things like: Name, Address, Phone, Email, Problems you have, User-name and Password (For the system only). This will assist us in working on the system, so we will know what happened prior to you bringing us the computer. The main reason for having the file online is so that we are not asking you everything as we need it.
As a note on privacy, we will only keep the documents for 60 days at which time we will delete it from email, computers, and any hard copies that we used, unless specific permission was given to keep it on file. This form will only be used by us and not distributed to anyone. The only time we will ask for any passwords other than the system password is if we are setting up email accounts or setting up Internet accounts.
If you have any questions about this policy or form, please comment on this and we will reply to it and answer your questions or concerns.

Opera 10.51 Problems
Posted by: JCJordan on Saturday, May 01, 2010 (19:26:34) (5 Reads)
Since I do web design, I have multiple browsers installed one of them being Opera. Currently the latest build is 10.51, which in my opinion is a downgrade from previous versions. Most of my pages do not load properly, ie takes much too long for the page to show up or I have to click "Stop" in order to get the page to show up at all. Another annoyance that I have found is that the previous versions kept the taskbar clean and only used one window for the browser much like firefox does. Now however, Opera is acting more like the dreaded Internet Explorer and has one taskbar icon for each tab opened. read more ...
How to re-enable hyperlinks in Outlook
Posted by: JCJordan on Sunday, April 18, 2010 (17:33:26) (7 Reads)
After running into this problem on a client's computer, I decided I would post some of the information on how to fix it. This problem is not caused by a virus or administrator controls normally. One of the main causes is the removal of the Google Chrome browser.
When the Chrome browser is installed, it changes some of the registry entries for handling of html files and thereby changing the way links are processed.
You can get the fix in the forums or by clicking Here.
