Fairbanks Benefit and Fund Raiser
Posted by: JCJordan on Thursday, December 15, 2011 (03:46:43) (19 Reads)
Alex and Megan (Demoret) Fairbanks live in Dodge City, KS and are having their first child toward the end of January 2012. Their baby has been diagnosed with Gastroschisis.
Gastroschisis is a birth defect in which an infant is born with some or all of her intestines on the outside of the abdomen due to an abnormal opening in the abdominal muscle.
The couple has already been to numerous doctor appointments in both Dodge City and in Wichita and will continue to see specialists in Wichita. The baby will be delivered at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita where she will immediately go into surgery to correct this defect. Megan and Alex have been told to expect a stay of at least 1 month in Wichita as their daughter recovers in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
Any financial help would be greatly appreciated since this couple will have to be away from work and home for a long period of time.
Please come and enjoy GOOD FOOD for a GOOD CAUSE!
Donations to the family can also be sent to The Farmers State Bank 603 Main Street in Jetmore, KS. 67854.
There is also an online donation available for those who will not be able to attend. The link is http://www.jordancomputersolutions.com/Treasury.html the donations are through paypal so all forms of payment are accepted.
