The latest version of Vipre Antivirus & AntiMalware is out. This new version comes with a built in firewall with many settings for advanced users or you can set it up to do everything on its own. I have installed this in business office and they have said that they could tell an immediate difference between it and their old antivirus program.

However, since I updated to Vipre 4 (I have only the Antivirus and not the firewall), I have not been able to get automatic definition updates. The link to get the latest update once you notice that your definitions are out of date is located here . There are also program updates available HERE . I have also added 2 version to the download section, I will attempt to keep the Version 4 upadated monthly, while the Version 3 is probably the last one that will be released.

*Update* I have downgraded by installation back to Version 3.1.2848 and all is well. I am able to download updates without problems.

In the downloads area, we have put both Version 3 and Version 4 of Vipre for download. Vipre comes with a 30 day trial period (with registration) so that you can test it out and see if it works for you. I have been running Vipre for about 6 months at the time of this posting and I will have to say that I do like the fact that it doesn't eat up my resources and I haven't noticed any threats getting by yet. The only problem that I have noticed is the updating problem.
